Hope is linked to waiting on God
(Psalm 39:7 NIV) But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.

Hope leads to faith
(Hebrews 11:1 NIV) Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Some things will happen after our lives
(Hebrews 11:39-40 NIV) These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, (40) since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

Simeon (hears from God)
(Luke 2:25-26 NIV) Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was
righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. (26) It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.

Anna (gracious, blessing)
(Luke 2:36-38 NIV) There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, (37) and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. Bartimaues (son of honor)
(Mark 10:46-52 NIV) Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. (47) When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” (48) Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” (49) Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” (50) Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. (51) “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” (52) “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
