The Final Judgment

By April 17, 2019 Message Notes

1. God Sent Us A Savior, Not A Condemner
(John 3:16-17 NIV) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (17) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

2. This Salvation Is Through The Cross Of Jesus
(Romans 3:20-24 NLT) For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. (21) But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. (22) We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. (23) For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. (24) Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

3. For Believers – Instant Entry To Heaven
(1 Corinthians 15:51-52 NIV) Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— (52) in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

4. After That – The Book Of Life Will Judge Every Man’s Works.. And It Will Be Fair And Right
(Revelations 20:11-15 NLT) And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. (12) I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. (13) The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave[a] gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. (14) Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. (15) And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

(Psalm 98:9 NIV) let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

(Habakkuk 3:18 NKJV) Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
