What Happens After We Die?

Message Notes

1.How do we go to Heaven?
(Luke 23:39-43 NLT) One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself — and us, too, while you’re at it!” (40) But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? (41) We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” (42) Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” (43) And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Leadership That Belongs

Blog

(Jeremiah‬ ‭32:40‬ ‭NLT)‬‬
“And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me.”

It’s settled, we belong! Out of this God-given security, we can make contributions in our work place or church with confidence. We can focus our desires on doing well in our gifts, bringing creativity, and great ideas, without personally feeling rejected if our idea is not implemented.

This God-given security in people makes them great candidates for promotion or leadership.

When we belong we:

1) Focus on opportunities. Answers and solutions open doors of opportunities for those who can see clear answers to problems.

2) Let what we do express God’s vision and heart for the church. We should ask ourselves what our motives are. Are we here to serve people? When we serve people, we don’t need to feel threatened by what they can do or bring to the church or the work place.

3) Are good at summarizing our ideas or stories. Busy leaders seldom have time for long and detailed stories. They want to know the main concept, the application, and what the overall impact on the organization will be.

4) Allow for a variety of ideas. Two opposing ideas can seem like disagreement, but different ideas are essential, and can be worked through, if we love each other.

Good ideas bring promotion and joy! Be open to change, and other people’s ideas.

(‭‭John‬ ‭15:16-17‬ ‭NLT)
“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. This is my command: Love each other.”

Let’s Keep This In Mind!

Message Notes

(1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NLT) For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread (24) and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” (25) In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” (26) For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.

The Meaning of Bread For Us
(Isaiah 53:4-5 NLT) Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! (5) But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

The Meaning of Wine For Us
(2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

(Romans 8:1-2 NIV) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, (2) because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

1. God Is Making “Straight Paths”
(Mark 1:1-5 NIV)The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God,(2) as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who willprepare your way”— (3) “a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for theLord, make straight paths for him.’” (4) And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. (5) The whole Judeancountryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they werebaptized by him in the Jordan River.

3. Not Ashamed Of This Good News
(Romans 1:16-17 NIV)For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of Godthat brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. (17) Forin the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from firstto last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

A Generation To Make A Difference!

Message Notes

(Matthew 5:14-16 MSG)“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Bring Out Your Colors!
(Romans 12:6a NLT) In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.

(Matthew 25:29 NIV) For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.

(Ephesians 4:22-24 NLT) You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; (23) to be made new in the attitude of your minds; (24) and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

(Matthew 5:14-16 NIV) “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (15) Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. (16) In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Shine For Jesus!
(Colossians 3:23 NLT)Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

Overflow, Influential Ways Of Living

Message Notes

(Mark 12:41-44 NLT) Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. (42) Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. (43) Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. (44) For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.”

1、She Knew About The Lord of Lords
(1 John 4:9-10 NLT) God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. (10) This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

My Journey From Flying Solo To Soaring With The Flock

Message Notes

(Psalm 92:12-14 NIV) The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; (13) planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. (14) They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,

(Acts 2:42-47 NIV) They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (43) Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. (44) All the believers were together and had everything in common. (45) They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. (46) Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, (47) praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

1. We Are Better Together
(Romans 12:4-8 NIV) For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, (5) so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. (6) We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; (7) if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; (8) if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

2. A Place Of Healing
(Acts 2:43 NIV) Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.

3. A Place Of Encouragement
(Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV) And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, (25) not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

(1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV) Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
