Power Of The Lord’s Supper

(Luke 22:15 TPT) Then he told them, “I have longed with passion and desire to eat this Passover lamb with you before I endure my sufferings.

(1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NIV) For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, (24) and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” (25) In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” (26) For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

1.The Bread – His Body (External)
(Matthew 8:1-3 NIV) When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. (2) A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” (3) Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.

2.The Wine – His Blood Of New Covenant (Internal)
(2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

(Romans 8:1-2 NIV) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, (2) because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
