Bible Genre Series – Wisdom 知恵

Wisdom: The ability to make good choices in life. 知恵:人生で良い選択ができる能力
Proverbs: - all areas - marriages, job, ambition, guidance, health, promotion, integrity, vision,
箴言:全ての面 – 結婚生活、仕事、野心、導き、健康、昇進、誠実さ、ビジョン
Ecclesiastes - job, ambition, life goals 伝道の書 – 仕事、野心、人生のゴール
Song of Solomon: - marriage 雅歌 – 結婚生活
Job - suffering and rebounding ヨブ – 困難と乗り越える力
Parables - The Kingdom of God, issues of heaven and hell, money, YOLO.
例え話 – 神の王国、天国と地獄の問題、お金、人生一度きり

1.Wisdom is seen as priority #1 in life’s choices. It is referred to as ‘she’ and ‘her’. We are referred to as ‘my son’. This is close to our lives.
(箴言 4:1 新改訳)子どもらよ。父の訓戒に聞き従い、悟りを得るように心がけよ。
(Proverbs 4:1 NIV) Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention and gain understanding.
(箴言 4:6 新改訳)知恵を捨てるな。それがあなたを守る。これを愛せ。これがあなたを保つ。
(Proverbs 4:6 NIV) Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.

(ルカ 6:39-40 新改訳)イエスはまた一つのたとえを話された。「いったい、盲人に盲人の手引きができるでしょうか。ふたりとも穴に落ち込まないでしょうか。(40)弟子は師以上には出られません。しかし十分訓練を受けた者はみな、自分の師ぐらいにはなるのです。
(Luke 6:39-40 NIV) He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? (40) The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.

2.These are universal principles - for believers and non-believers. They are unbreakable.
 世間一般的な原則 – 信じている人も信じていない人も。普遍的なもの。
(箴言16:32 新改訳)怒りをおそくする者は勇士にまさり、自分の心を治める者は町を攻め取る者にまさる。
(Proverbs 16:32 NIV) Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.
(箴言31:10 JCB)ほんとうに良い妻を見つけたら、宝石よりもすばらしいものを手に入れたことになるのです。
(Proverbs 31:10 NIV) A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
(箴言31:28-31 JCB)子どもたちは彼女をほめ、夫も負けずにほめます。「君はほんとうにすばらしい。世界中を探しても、君ほどの女性はいない。」人は見かけの美しさにすぐだまされますが、そんな美しさは長続きしません。しかし主を恐れる女はほめたたえられます。「りっぱな女だ」と評判になり、ついには国の指導者にまで称賛されるようになります。
(Proverbs 31:28-31 NIV) Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” (30) Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. (31) Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

3.They do not guarantee success in all areas. Bad things do happen to good people (Job).

4.They are easy quotes to memorise and live by.

5.They come in poetic thoughts- these are examples of repetitive thought and opposite thoughts.

(Song of Solomon 4:11 NIV) Your lips drop sweetness as the honeycomb, my bride; milk and honey are under your tongue. The fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon.

6.We must understand something of culture to interpret some of them. Live in corner of rood —> live in garage
(Proverbs 25:24) It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.
(箴言 25:24 JCB)怒りっぽい女と大邸宅に住むより、屋根裏部屋の片隅で暮らすほうがましです。

7.Jesus’ parables are a special case. イエスの例え話は特別
They are not actual true stories 実話ではない
They draw one key point and a few side points. 一つのメインポイントといくつかの小さいポイント
They are very serious truths to understand Jesus and his Kingdom.
We must move to personal application as soon as possible. すぐに個人的な適用に移る必要がある

(Proverbs 3:3-6 NKJV) Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, (4) And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. (5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; (6) In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
(箴言 3:3-6 JCB) いつも正しい生活をし、人には親切にしなさい。この二つが心から行えるように、しっかり身につけなさい。(4-5)神にも人にも喜ばれ、正しい判断力と英知を得たいなら、とことん主に信頼しなさい。決して自分に頼ってはいけません。(6)何をするにも、主を第一にしなさい。主がどうすればよいか教えてくださり、それを成功させてくださいます。
